YORKTOWN— A new Chick-fil-A restaurant opening next week in York County will bring about 110 jobs to the area. The occasion is marked with a $25,000 donation to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank to support local hunger relief efforts.
Chick-fil-A Grafton will open May 21 at 6 a.m. at 5600 George Washington Memorial Highway.
The restaurant will be operated by local owner-operator Josh Burnette, a York County resident who also operates Chick-fil-A Victory Boulevard. He has been involved with local schools and community organizations through his work with the restaurant.
“It means a lot to continue growing in a community that’s supported us for so many years,” Burnette said. “What makes this area so special is the connection between families, schools and local organizations.”
Burnette has awarded nearly $250,000 in Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures scholarships to employees during his career and participates in the company’s Shared Table program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits. At his Victory Boulevard location, Burnette partners with THRIVE Peninsula and plans to continue that partnership at the new restaurant.
Hours will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.
