NEW KENT — The New Kent Chamber of Commerce (NKCC) has announced the return of its annual “A Taste of New Kent” food and wine festival.
For its twelfth year, the festival will feature wineries and cideries, food trucks, a local brewery as well as numerous craft and art vendors. Additionally, there will be live music provided by local-favorite, SLAPNATION.
“The ‘A Taste of New Kent’ Wine Festival is one of our largest events,” said Ericka Johnson, vice president of the Chamber and coordinator of the volunteers for this year’s event. “It brings together a vast number of people, both in and outside of our community. [‘A Taste of New Kent’] is truly a multicultural and multigenerational event.”
The festival will take place, rain or shine, at Maidstone Village, 7791 Invicta Lane in New Kent, on October 16 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Parking will be available at New Kent Middle School with shuttle buses for car to gate service.
Tickets cost $25 if purchased in advance, $35 at the gate. Proceeds from the festival will go to support the NKCC operations, business member support, and other ventures put on by the Chamber for New Kent businesses, residents and recent graduates.
