Colonial Williamsburg to Offer Free Admission to Veterans and Their Families for Memorial Day
The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation will offer free admission for active-duty military, reservists, retirees, veterans, National Guard members, and their immediate dependents May 27-30. Made possible through a grant from The Home Depot Foundation, this weekend will honor service members with special military-themed programming and a Memorial Day Commemoration with the Williamsburg Chapter of the Virginia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution on May 30. Busch Gardens Recognized by National Amusement Park Organization
Busch Gardens Williamsburg (BGW) was recently recognized by the National Amusement Park Historical Association (NAPHA). Based on the results of NAPHA’s thirty-sixth annual Amusement Park and Attractions Survey, BGW tied with Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee as a favorite theme park and was awarded Most Beautiful Park by NAPHA for the thirty-second year in a row.
James City County to Host Inaugural Repair Fair
James City County (JCC) has announced that it will hold its inaugural repair fair on Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Warhill High School, 4615 Opportunity Way in Williamsburg.
