
YORK COUNTY — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) has arrested three people suspected of vandalizing the Freight Shed in Riverwalk Landing, 331 Water St., on April 13.
According to YPSO Public Information Officer Shelley Ward, deputies arrested Justin Wayne Wenzel, 22, on April 19 and Maxwell Davis, 21 and Lane Michael Greer, 20, on April 21.
Ward also said that they have identified one other male suspect.
All three of the men who have been arrested, reside in Newport News. They are being charged with entering a dwelling with the intent to commit a larceny, destruction of property and petit larceny.
“We would like to thank our community for all of the tips that came in to help identify the individuals who were witnesses or involved in the incident,” Ward said.
The men are accused of breaking into the Freight Shed and damaging the HVAC system and setting off the facility’s fire extinguisher. The fire extinguisher has been reported missing.
YPSO also said that the investigation is still on going. WYDaily will update this story as more details are released.
