October just got a little bit spookier, thanks to Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
Due to an overwhelmingly positive response to Busch Gardens’ fall limited capacity special event, all Wednesdays, starting on Oct. 7 through Nov. 1, have been added to the Halloween Harvest line-up, according to a public post from the park.

The event schedule now looks like this:
- Wednesdays and Thursdays: 5-9 p.m.
- Fridays, Sundays & Columbus Day: 11 a.m.to 3 p.m.; 8 p.m. to midnight.
- Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; 3-7 p.m.; 8 p.m. to midnight.
Usually the month of October is when the park has its beloved Howl-O-Scream, but this year belongs to Halloween Harvest.
But just because Howl-o-Scream isn’t happening this year, it doesn’t mean the scary fun is canceled.
“Fifteen iconic roller coasters and rides, contactless trick-or-treating for the kids, a pumpkin scavenger hunt and Halloween scares with physical distancing, delicious seasonal dishes and drinks, and more will make the World’s Most Beautiful Theme Park the only place to be this fall,” according to a news release from Busch Gardens.
Only six of the villages will be open and decorated in fall colors. Like Howl-O-Scream, ghouls will be lurking about in designated areas for nighttime scares.
There will also be fall-inspired specialty foods and desserts, beers from around the world, and Halloween drink specials available throughout the six villages.
To ensure public safety in compliance with Virginia’s Phase 3 guidelines, Halloween Harvest will operate with enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols, along with physical distancing, required face masks and temperature screenings, according to the news release.
“Fall is a perfect time to visit the park and we’re thrilled to offer another limited-capacity special event that will showcase new villages and attractions we have not offered yet this year along with the greatest of Halloween experiences for all ages,” Busch Gardens Williamsburg President Kevin Lembke said in a prepared statement.
“We will continue operating with enhanced health and safety measures, and have created an event that safely delivers a compelling combination of exciting coasters and rides, seasonal food and drinks, and Halloween experiences for kids and adults,” he added.
