Crash kills Williamsburg man

The Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that killed a Williamsburg man Friday.

Authorities identified the man as Lynn John Maltinsky.

He was 66 years old.

The crash happened at 1:30 p.m. Friday on Interstate 64 at the 216 mile-marker in New Kent County.

Preliminary findings indicate Maltinsky was driving a 2018 F-150 pickup west on I-64 when it ran off the left side of the interstate, went up the embankment in the median and struck several trees.

Maltinsky, who was wearing his seatbelt, died at the scene, police said.
