VIRGINIA BEACH — Residents who have an interest in the future of the city’s resort area can attend a public workshop on June 17.

It will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St.

The Resort Area Strategic Action Plan was adopted December 2008. Since adoption, a great deal of development has occurred and it’s time to refresh goals and establish new priorities, city officials said.

Residents may attend the workshop to view work in progress and offer input on important topics like open space, recreation/placemaking, stormwater management, connectivity, streetscape improvements, parking, mobility, public improvements, safety and implementation strategies.
