Authorities have arrested two men in connection with a shooting in the parking lot of a restaurant on Merrimac Trail in York County.
Sha’keem Antonius Brown, 20, and Milton Alexander McCary, 19, are facing a combined six charges after a shooting outside the 3 Kingz Bistro, at 455 Merrimac Trail, sent two men to the hospital with gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.
Brown, of Williamsburg, was arrested Wednesday and is facing one count of shooting at an occupied vehicle, one count of shooting in a public place and two counts of maiming.
McCary, of James City County, was arrested Thursday and faces one count of shooting in a public place and one count of shooting from a moving vehicle.
Both Brown and McCary were arrested by James City County Police without incident in the 4000 block of Ironbound Road, authorities said.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges or arrests could be forthcoming.
York-Poquoson Sheriff’s deputies were called to the parking lot at around 12:10 a.m. March 30 in response to a report of shots fired.
Sometime later, the two men – a 24-year-old white man and a 19-year-old black man – arrived at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center with gunshot wounds.
The sheriff’s office also said the shots were fired during an “altercation in the parking lot between numerous individuals.”
Information on the condition of the two shooting victims was not made available.
