James City County Police are asking for the public’s help in finding two men they say robbed a local AT&T store Monday night.
The only description police provided was the suspects are “black males wearing black zip up hoodies, ski masks and gloves.”
Stephanie Williams, spokeswoman for JCC Police, said it’s unclear whether the suspects had a car because the pair left through the back door.
Williams also didn’t have further description of the suspects.
Officers were called to the AT&T Store, 5227-C Monticello Ave. at around 7:45 pm. Monday.
An employee told officers two unidentified men came into the store, “displayed a silver handgun and pushed her forcefully to the rear of the business demanding that she open multiple safes,” according to a police news release.
“When they demanded that she open the other safes, she told them that she did not have a key and was unable to open them,” police wrote in the news release. “They pushed her back onto the sales floor and fled through the rear of the store.”
No injuries were reported.
Authorities said the store manager is checking the inventory to see if there were any merchandise missing.
Police did not provide any other details about the incident but are asking anyone who may have information to call JCC Police at 757-603-6033 or logan.english@jamescitycountyva.gov.
