The FBI is assisting in the search for Bellamy Gamboa, who may have been abducted

VIRGINIA BEACH — The search for 39-year-old Bellamy Malaki Gamboa continues, but this time with help from FBI.

Gamboa was reported missing July 1 — authorities said she may have been abducted and in danger.

The FBI said agents are currently providing “technological and investigative” assistance through the Tidewater Crimes Task Force.

“We have been aware of the case and have been providing assistance as needed by the Virginia Beach Police Department,” said Norfolk FBI spokeswoman Christina Pullen.

Gamboa is 5-foot-1, weighs approximately 135 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair. Her 2005 Gold 4-door Ford Focus was found July 3 parked next to a dumpster in the 5800 block of Pickering Street, which was fewer than four miles from where she was last seen, Virginia Beach Police said.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on Gamboa’s whereabouts to call Crime Solvers at 888-LOCK-U-UP.
