VIRGINIA BEACH — How goo-goo are you for Goo Goo Dolls?
American Music Festival fans will be glad to hear that the Chartway Federal Credit Union will be celebrating its 25th Annual AMF with four major headline bands on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 and 2.
According to an AMF news release, Cruzan Rum will be presenting ZZ Top, Ziggy Marley, Goo Goo Dolls, and SOJA on the Oceanfront 5th Street Main Stage. Both ZZ Top and Goo Goo Dolls have performed on the 5th Street Stage in the past.

AMF fans will be able to choose between limited availability preferred viewing at a separate area located directly in front of the Main Stage.
Ziggy Marley and SOJA will be performing Aug. 31. and Goo Goo Dolls are set to perform Sept. 1 and ZZ Top, on Sept. 2.
All tickets for Ziggy Marley, SOJA, are $20 advance, $25 day-of-show. Preferred Viewing tickets are $50, and $60 day-of-show, if still available.
Other artists who will be performing on Aug. 31 include:
- Molly Hatchet, at 17th Street DQ Grill & Chill Park at 9:15 p.m. Admission is free.
- Eve 6, at 24th Street Park, 9:15 p.m. Admission is free.
- Carbon Leaf, at 31st Street Park, 9:15 p.m. Admission is free.
The following artists will perform on Sept. 2 (free admission):
- The Coasters, at 17th Street DQ Grill & Chill Park, 7:30 p.m.
- The Drifters at 17th Street DQ Grill & Chill Park, 9:15. p.m.
- Cherry Poppin’ Daddies at 24th Street Park, 9:15 p.m.
- Strictly Bizzness at 31st Street Park at 7:30 p.m.
- Guava Jam at 31st Street Park at 9:15 p.m.
