Questions about the law? This resource in Virginia Beach can help

VIRGINIA BEACH — There’s a place here where all of the answers to your legal questions are available for free. You just have to find them.

The Wahab Public Law Library, a branch of Virginia Beach Public Library, will have an open house on May 21, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The library reopened in January following renovations that included a more user-friendly layout, improved technology and new carpet and paint.

The open house will feature tours of the updated space and information about the legal and law-related resources available, such as Lexis Advance, an online legal research database and resources from the American Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education program.

Wahab also provides resources on best practices for selecting an attorney at the local, statewide, or nationwide levels, as well as access to court forms commonly requested by the public.

The Virginia Beach Public Library system includes the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, a joint-use library in partnership with Tidewater Community College, seven area libraries, as well as Wahab.

The library is named after former Virginia Beach Circuit Judge Robert S. Wahab Jr. It was dedicated to the public in 1970.
