UPDATE: I-64 clear near Lee Hall after emergency pothole repairs; 4-mile backup remains

A traffic backup remains on Interstate 64 following emergency pothole repairs near Lee Hall Monday.

All lanes on I-64 were clear as of 5:10 p.m., according to a VDOT Hampton Roads tweet.

The backup is about four miles.

Attention commuters: Expect delays during today’s rush hour.

Emergency pothole repairs by Virginia Department of Transportation crews blocked one lane on Interstate 64 east Monday afternoon, according to a VDOT Hampton Roads tweet.

The repairs are being done near Lee Hall (Exit 247).

Traffic was backed up about 4.5 miles at 4:20 p.m. Drivers should expect delays.
