VIRGINIA BEACH — Authorities in Virginia Beach are hot on the smoke trail of a burglary suspect with an apparent penchant for cigarettes, and want your help to identify him.
On Tuesday, at about 3:20 a.m., a man was caught on surveillance video shattering the glass door of the Gulf Gas Station located at 6029 Indian River Road. Once inside, he was spotted stuffing his pockets with nothing more than cigarettes, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
The man was last seen wearing a brown jacket, a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
It’s unclear what brand of cigarettes were targeted before the suspect was seen running out of the business.

Police said tipsters will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if their information leads to an arrest.
