VIRGINIA BEACH — A Virginia Beach woman accused of driving drunk in connection with a fatal crash was a star on Lifetime’s “Little Women: Atlanta,” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Melissa Hancock, 25, starred in the reality show’s second season in 2015, according to the AJC. The show follows the lives of several Atlanta-based women with dwarfism as they deal with “the challenges of living in an average-size world,” according to the show’s website.
Hancock is accused of driving drunk on I-264 and hitting 29-year-old Daniel Carl Dill head-on, according to the Virginia State Police.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. on Saturday. Police say that Hancock was driving a 2011 Cadillac west in the eastbound lanes of I-264 near Birdneck Road.
Dill died at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on Sunday.
Hancock was arrested and charged with DUI maiming and driving the wrong way. She is being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond and may be charged with other crimes at the discretion of the city’s commonwealth’s attorney.
