VIRGINIA BEACH — A bicyclist was killed after being hit by a car Saturday morning, police said.
Around 8:30 a.m., police were called to the collision near the 1400 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard and the 300 block of Sykes Avenue. Responding officers found an adult male bicyclist who had been hit by a car.
EMS also responded but the man died at the scene, police said.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene with police officers.
The incident remains under investigation.
