NORFOLK — Two people, including a 9-year-old, were shot in the city Thursday, police said.
Shortly before 5 p.m., a 29-year-old woman and a 9-year-old girl were found shot in the 800 block of Whitaker Lane, police said. Both shooting victims were brought to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the pair appear to have been hit by stray bullets. No other injuries were reported.
