NORFOLK— Police officers will be on the look out for dangerous drivers on Church Street Thursday night.
The Norfolk Police Department will set up a checkpoint in the 1700 block of Church Street from 7 p.m. to midnight. They will be looking for intoxicated drivers and people committing safety violations, according to a NPD news release.
The checkpoint, which is funded by the DMV Highway Selective Enforcement grant, is part of a national campaign called “Operation Checkpoint Strikeforce.” The campaign works to educate people on the dangers of driving impaired.
