One lane of Northampton Boulevard closed for emergency repairs

Virginia Beach Public Works has announced the immediate closing of the outside northbound lane of Northampton Boulevard due to emergency shoulder repairs. Crews are at the location now inspecting and preparing for the repairs. The location is near Shell Road at Lake Smith. VIRGINIA BEACH — The outside northbound lane of Northampton Boulevard has been closed to accommodate emergency should repairs, the city’s public works department said.

Crews began inspecting the location near Shell Road at Lake Smith on Friday. The repairs are expected to take several days to complete.
