VIRGINIA BEACH – Have you ever wanted to run through the Oceanfront in your underwear legally? Now’s your chance.
The “Cupid Undie Run,” a fundraiser to benefit The Children’s Tumor Foundation and neurofibromatosis research, kicks off at noon this Saturday in more than 45 cities across the country.
Before the run, participants are invited to party at The Shack, located at 712 Atlantic Ave. At 2 p.m. runners will run about one mile in their best Valentine’s Day-themed underwear. Afterward, the scantily clad runners can return to The Shack and celebrate until 3:30 p.m.
If you are planning to sport your newest pair of heart-decorated undies for the February run, you’re in luck. High temperatures are expected to reach the mid 60s on Saturday.
Tickets for this year’s run start at $35. In 2016, the runners raised $3.5 million.
