The Virginia Department of Transportation continues to treat and clear roadways after Monday’s snowstorm, as it urges drivers to be “extra cautious” because melted snow may have refrozen overnight.
VDOT’s crews have been working 12-hour shifts to clear interstates and primary roads. They will turn their attention to secondary roads today, according to a VDOT news release.
VDOT’s road condition table shows minor icy patches on Interstate 64 throughout the Historic Triangle. Minor icy patches are also reported on all secondary roads in James City and York counties. There is no information posted about City of Williamsburg roads.
Equipment and salt supplies remain in “good shape,” according to the release.
