After heavy snowfall across the Historic Triangle led to government and office closings, some organizations are calling off activities for Wednesday.
James City County and York County offices will open on time.

Schools:
Williamsburg-James City County Schools will remain closed through Wednesday. The WJCC School Board meeting slated for Tuesday is being rescheduled. A date has not yet been announced.
York County Schools and School Division offices are closed Wednesday.
Williamsburg Christian Academy is closed on Wednesday.
Williamsburg Montessori School will be closed Wednesday.
Walsingham Academy is closed Wednesday.
The College of William & Mary will open at noon Wednesday.
Thomas Nelson Community College is closed Wednesday.
Providence Classical School is closed Wednesday.
Hampton Roads Academy is closed Wednesday.
Government:
The Naval Weapons Station Yorktown is closed to all non-emergency personnel Wednesday.
Though James City County’s offices — including the James City County Recreation Center and the Abram Frink Jr. Community Center — will operate at normal hours, the Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office and Treasurer’s Office will be closed Wednesday to allow staff members to convert records to a new computer system.
The City of Williamsburg bumped its garbage pickup scheduled back a day. Those on Tuesday’s route should put out their trashcans before 7 a.m. to ensure pickup. Recycling pickup will operate as scheduled, though service times may be delayed. Any areas that cannot be safely accessed by trucks will not be served.
Curbside track pickup in York County will resume Wednesday, bumping each route back one day. Those on Tuesday’s route will have their garbage picked up Wednesday, those on Wednesday’s route will have trash picked up Thursday, and so forth through Saturday. Recycling pickup will proceed as normal Wednesday, though Tuesday’s schedule will run Saturday.
Williamsburg Area Transit Authority bus service will start at 9 a.m. Service to Surry County via the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry is canceled for today due to road conditions. The Greensprings Road stop on the Jamestown Route will not be serviced due to road conditions. Service on Tam O Shanter Boulevard, Penniman Road and Chickahominy Road is also suspended.
Waller Mill Park in Williamsburg will be closed Wednesday.
The York-Poquoson Courthouse is closed Wednesday.
Quarterpath Park and Recreation Center will close at 4:30 p.m. today. All evening activities have been postponed.
Businesses:
The Williamsburg Area Association of REALTORS & Williamsburg Multiple Listing Service, Inc. Executive Offices will open 1 hour late Wednesday.
Body Balance Studio’s 8:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. classes are canceled Wednesday.
Chesapeake Bank and Chesapeake Investment Group will open at 10 a.m. today.
The Peninsula Fine Arts Center will be closed Wednesday Feb. 18. All regularly scheduled classes have been canceled.
Athletics:
All scheduled prep sports, including conference tournaments, for Wednesday have been postponed.
