Busch Gardens Discounted Admission Extended to Veterans

BG_VerboltenVeterans can now enjoy discounted single-day admission to Busch Gardens through a Waves of Honor program expansion.

In May, Busch Gardens and Water Country USA announced participation in the Waves of Honor program, giving active-duty military service members and their family the opportunity to receive a free day’s admission to one of SeaWorld’s parks.

Now the program is expanding to encompass veterans.

“We’re proud to extend this special offer to the 22 million U.S. veterans and their friends and families in celebration of their service,” said Jim Atchison, president and CEO of SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment in a news release. “It has always been our honor to host members of the military and their families at our parks each year, and this extends that appreciation even further.”

Under the expansion, both veterans and active-duty service members can purchase tickets online or at participating bases at a 50 percent discount to Busch Gardens Williamsburg or Tampa, SeaWorld Orlando, SeaWorld San Antonio, Sea World San Diego or Sesame Place. Active, retired, honorably separated officers and enlisted personnel of the U.S. military are eligible, according to the offer’s website and must present a valid military ID or proof of service to take advantage of the offer.

Active-duty service members who participated in the Waves of Honor program to receive free admission within the last 12 months may participate in the discount program as well. Tickets may be purchased for up to six people, including the service member or veteran.

Tickets must be purchased by Nov. 11 and redeemed by Dec. 20. No discount tickets through this program will be available at park entrance gates.

For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Waves of Honor website.
