As construction continues at Settlers Market, two restaurants have set opening dates and a new business has been added to the shopping center.
Cost Plus World Market will open in the shopping center, which is located off Monticello Avenue in Williamsburg, in the spring of 2014 next to Stein Mart.
Within the next two months, both Noodles and Company and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt will open. Menchie’s is preparing for a Sept. 13 opening, while Noodles and Company will likely open Oct. 4.
In January 2011, the Settlers Market property was purchased as a joint venture between Westmoreland Partners, LLC and Federal Capital Partners. Groundbreaking took place in May 2012 and a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Settlers Market’s opening took place in May this year.
Like World Market, Petco is slated to open in spring 2014. It will be housed in a standalone building at the intersection of Settlers Market and Casey boulevards.
Zoe’s Kitchen will eventually open in a standalone building near the intersection of Settlers Market Boulevard and Monticello Avenue, between Trader Joe’s and Long and Foster. An opening date has not yet been announced.
According to an aerial site plan of Settlers Market, at least six more businesses will be able to locate within the shopping center. At the May ribbon cutting, Howard Biel of Westmoreland Partners said construction was expected to begin on townhouses along Casey Boulevard in 2014. The entire Settlers Market project has a 2015 completion date.
