Deadline is Today for Voter Registration for Nov. Election

Today – Monday, Oct. 15 – is the last day to register to vote in the Nov. 6 election.

The Constitution of Virginia requires that citizens be registered in the precinct in which they live in order to be qualified to vote. Qualified residents who will be 18 years old on or before Nov. 6 may register to vote in this election.

Registered voters who need to change their address may do so by completing, signing and submitting a voter registration application or their voter card. The deadline to change registration information is also Monday, Oct. 15. If a registered voter’s address has changed, the voter should update his/her address to ensure he/she remains qualified to vote.

Anyone who has completed a registration application provided by a voter registration drive is encouraged to contact the appropriate Registrar’s Office to ensure the application has been received.
