Homeschoolers are invited to create their lesson plans around Colonial Williamsburg over two weeks in September.

While a colonial capital syllabus can be created any time of the year, Colonial Williamsburg’s Fall Homeschool Days offer families special deals on hands-on activities and revolutionary experiences.

This year, homeschooled visitors from Sept. 10 through 25 may save up to more than 75 percent off retail prices for advanced reservation single- and multi-day tickets, according to a Colonial Williamsburg press release.

Visits can be tailored to include on-site dining, 18th century-style tavern meals, entertainment and lodging, including special rates at the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel and Suites.

A variety of special ticketed programs will be offered during Fall Homeschool Days, including opportunities to dig for archaeological treasure, live the life of a militia soldier, experience Gen. George Washington’s Revolutionary War headquarters, learn about early African-American music and foodways, or experience Mother Goose’s riddles and rhymes on a special tour of the family-focused Powell House property.

To make reservations call 1-800-228-8878, email groupsales@cwf.org or click here to learn more. Special rates are available year round for homeschool groups of all sizes in addition to a wide variety of books, DVDs and other teaching resources.
