
Olde Towne Medical Center (OTMC) welcomes new Executive Director Steve Smith, who has 11 years of experience in leading a community health center.
Smith worked as CEO for MedLink Georgia, a community healthcare provider, and he has experience helping health centers develop and implement capital projects, according to a press release. Smith has also served on the Board of Directors for a health center in North Carolina, serving a term as Board Chairman.
“We are delighted to have Steve Smith join us at Olde Towne Medical Center with his broad breadth of experience in safety net clinics,” said OTMC Board President Barbara Reynolds.
“We look forward to Steve’s leadership at OTMC and within our community.”
Smith received his undergraduate degree from William & Mary and received his Masters degree in Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia. He worked in finance before shifting to the healthcare field. He and his wife Jane have three college-aged children.
