Grafton Bethel Elementary has a new assistant principal.
Heather Young, the school’s former Assessment, Compliance and Intervention Coordinator, was officially approved for the position Monday by the York County School Board. She assumed the duties on Sept. 7.
Young has been with the York County School Division since 2008. In 2011, she was named “Teacher of the Year” for Mt. Vernon Elementary School.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota and her master’s degree from The College of William & Mary.
