
JAMES CITY COUNTY — James City County Parks & Recreation announced that tickets are now on sale for the 250th Revolutionary Rhythms concert series for county residents.
The series Takes place April 17-18 at Jamestown Beach Event Park.
On Friday, April 17, the Plain White T’s will headline the 7:45 p.m. show. The group is an American pop rock band from Lombard, Illinois. Formed in the late 1990s, they rose to mainstream fame with the Grammy-nominated hit “Hey There Delilah,” which became a global chart-topper. Blending pop, rock, and acoustic influences, the band has built a career on emotional storytelling and sing-along anthems that resonate across generations, the county said.
On Saturday, April 18, Kool & The Gang will headline the 7:30 p.m. show. The legendary American funk, soul, and R&B band formed in Jersey City, New Jersey, rose to fame in the 1970s and ’80s with iconic hits like “Celebration,” “Jungle Boogie,” and “Get Down on It.” With a sound that blends funk rhythms, jazzy instrumentation, and infectious hooks, the group has left a lasting impact on popular music and dance floors around the world, the county said
James City County resident tickets are on sale now through Eventbrite. Resident JCC addresses will be verified by internal staff, and tickets may be forfeited if the address is not in the county.
