I’m Lenora! Upon arrival in May, I was a bit unsightly — I was missing most of my hair along my back, tail and legs, and I was listless and lethargic. After a series of tests, it was discovered that I had hyperthyroidism — meaning my thyroid gland makes too much of the hormone that controls my metabolism. I was immediately put on medication and started to blossom! I became more energetic, my hair is starting to grow back, and my skin infections cleared up. My adopters will need to continue giving me my thyroid medication — but the good news is, a month’s supply costs no more than one large drink at Starbucks (Approximately $10 a month)! AND if that is not good enough news, since I am 8 years young, my adoption fee is only $35! With my medical situation in check, now I just need a home to call my own!
