JAMES CITY COUNTY — A man fell from a third-floor open-air walkway at the Rodeway Inn & Suites on Richmond Road in James City County Saturday just before 5 p.m.
An eyewitness said the man, who appeared to be intoxicated, tried to catch something that fell and went over the railing.
The man was moving and was responding to James City County Fire Department and EMS crews. The James City County Police Department was also on scene.
