
JAMES CITY COUNTY — A shed fire damaged a home in the Brookside Haven subdivision of James City County Tuesday.
According to officials, the James City County Fire Department responded to a report of a residential structure fire on April 1 in the Brookside Haven subdivision. Fire units arrived to find a shed attached to the residence on fire.
With the assistance of units from York County Fire and Life Safety and the Williamsburg Fire Department, firefighters quickly initiated operations and were able to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading further into the home, according to James City County.
The exterior of the residence sustained some damage, however, no injuries were reported.
The James City County Fire Department thanked the assisting agencies for their support, and reminded residents to remain vigilant and prepared for fire-related emergencies.
