HAMPTON ROADS — VDOT’s list of full closures of interstates, ramps, bridges and primary roads, and single-lane closures at the bridge-tunnels the week of Jan. 7-13.

Bridges and Tunnels

Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, I-64:  

• Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures westbound Jan. 8 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel, I-664: 

• Alternating, single-lane closures southbound Jan. 7-10 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Berkley Bridge, I-264: 

• Double-lane closures westbound Jan. 7-13 from as early as 7 p.m. to as late as 6 a.m.

James River Bridge, Route 17: 

• Single-lane closures and brief, intermittent stoppages in both directions:
  • Jan. 7-10 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Jan. 8-11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Single-lane closure Jan. 11 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
• Full extended closure of the James River Bridge from 1 a.m. on Jan. 12 through 5 a.m. on Jan. 16. View the full traffic alert

I-64

I-64, Southside Widening, High Rise Bridge Expansion:

I-64, Hampton Roads Express Lanes:  

• Information about lane closures and other project impacts related to the Hampton Roads Express Lanes.

Hampton: 

• Brief, intermittent stoppages on I-64 west between Mallory Street (exit 268) and LaSalle Avenue (exit 265A) Jan. 10 from 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m.
• Full closure of the off-ramp from I-64 east to Rip Rap Road (exit 265C) continuously from 10 p.m. on Jan. 5 until 5 a.m. on Jan. 8. View the full traffic alert.
• Long-term, continuous single-lane closure on I-64 in both directions, reducing travel lanes from three to two lanes between Settlers Landing Road/Woodland Road (exit 267) and LaSalle Avenue (exit 265), with I-64 west traffic shifted to the I-64 east lanes. View the full traffic alert.

Norfolk:

• Full closure of the ramp from I-564 east to I-64 west Jan. 11 from 7 p.m. to 11 a.m.
• Full closure of the on-ramp from Tidewater Drive north to I-64 west Jan. 11 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Norfolk, Reversible Roadway:

• Full closure in both directions Jan. 8-12 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
