WILLIAMSBURG — The Greater Williamsburg Sports & Event Center will host one of its first major public events July 25-26, when a two-day home improvement show makes its Williamsburg debut.
The Home Owners Expo will bring together more than 100 contractors, designers, landscapers and other home service providers, along with an appearance by HGTV personality Matt Fox, co-host of “Room by Room.”
Fox will give multiple stage talks each day on remodeling and budget-friendly makeover ideas, followed by audience questions, meet-and-greet sessions and photo opportunities.
“Home improvement doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive,” Fox said. “I’m excited to share simple design moves that make a big impact and meet homeowners from across the Historic Triangle.”
Other attractions include a “Fetch the Fun” dog show featuring canine agility and trick demonstrations, free antique appraisals from antiques appraiser Todd Peenstra, and a table staffed by local master gardeners to answer questions about plants, shrubs, trees and lawns. The show floor will also include vendor discounts, giveaways and consultations, along with children’s activities and food vendors.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the venue, 250 Visitors Center Drive. Admission and parking are free. For more information, visit thehomeownersexpo.com/event/williamsburg.
