Rep. Rob Wittman Reorganizes Mobile Office Hours, Removes Williamsburg Dates

HISTORIC TRIANGLE — Rep. Rob Wittman’s office has reorganized its mobile office hours, removing Williamsburg meetings originally scheduled for the second Thursday of each month from its schedule.

In December, Wittman’s office announced it had expanded mobile office hours to include Tappahannock, Warsaw, and Williamsburg, where constituents could meet with a member of his staff.

Office hours were most recently held at the Williamsburg Regional Library on Thursday, Feb. 13.

The purpose of the meeting, according to a text that was sent to the community, was to assist constituents with issues related to federal agencies. According to social media reports, between 150 and 200 people waited to speak with Wittman’s staff.

The Williamsburg mobile hours have since been removed from Wittman’s webpage.

In an email to WYDaily, Wittman’s staff said, “We have reorganized our mobile office hours to serve Virginia’s First District residents more effectively. In lieu of a mobile office hours session in Williamsburg, our casework team is available to help constituents with specific federal casework issues at public buildings nearest to them. Our full-time Yorktown office continues to serve the Historic Triangle region.”

Wittman’s webpage states, “I value all feedback from residents of my district. I am here to serve you, and so is my staff.”

Citizens are encouraged to reach out via email, call or make an appointment at the full-time Yorktown office located at 307 Main Street.
