WILLIAMSBURG — If you are cleaning out closet space and making more room for your growing child, consider donating those old baby clothes to Williamsburg House of Mercy’s HOPE Pregnancy Center.

The HOPE Pregnancy Center provides prenatal support and maternity clothes for expectant mothers, new baby assistance with diapers, formula, wipes, clothes through 2T, strollers, pack and plays and car seats throughout Williamsburg, James City County and Upper York County.

Currently, there is a need for both boy and girl baby clothes size 9 months — 2T and the center will accept both new and gently used clothing, said Lisa Pacheco, Williamsburg House of Mercy Director of Development.

“60% of our clients are ALICE — asset limited income constrained employed — that’s who we are giving assistance to, people who are working full-time jobs that just need a little extra help,” explained Pacheco.

Donations can be made in person at either 309 McLaws Circle Suite G, Williamsburg, Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. or 10 Harrison Ave., Williamsburg,  Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Additionally, the organization accepts monetary tax deductible donations.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Williamsburg House of Mercy’s HOPE Pregnancy Center relies on donations that stay in the local community, “truly, donating to our neighbors in need,” said Pacheco.
