YORKTOWN — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a suspect involved in a bank robbery at the BayPort Credit Union in the 5000 block of George Washington Memorial Highway Tuesday morning.
According to the sheriff’s office, it received a call for a hold-up alarm at approximately 9:54 a.m. the morning of Feb. 4 at the Bayport Credit Union Grafton location.
The sheriff’s office said the suspect, who fled the scene on foot, has been described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a ski mask on his face, a gray hoodie and dark pants.
As it works to locate the suspect, the sheriff’s office said there will be an increased law enforcement presence in the area.
Anyone who sees any suspicious activity or has any information, including ring doorbell footage, is asked to call 911 immediately.
