WILLIAMSBURG — Visit Williamsburg, in partnership with the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce, announced the launch of a free mobile-exclusive digital Historic Holiday Pass.
This initiative invites visitors and locals to engage with the community in a new way this holiday season.
“The Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce is proud to collaborate with Visit Williamsburg on this Historic Holiday marketing initiative,” said Terry Banez, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce. “Our goal is to drive additional traffic to local businesses during the holiday season.”
The Historic Holiday Pass promotion will run from Nov. 29 to Jan. 2.
Users can check in at five participating businesses, redeem 40 different discounts, and earn rewards while exploring the offerings of Williamsburg.
After checking into five places (double points for lodging), participants earn their choice of a premium artisan glass-blown ornament — crafted by John Shelton, the master glassblower and retired chief archaeologist at Colonial Williamsburg — or a holiday t-shirt.
The gamified pass adds an extra layer of excitement to the holiday shopping experience, encouraging people to shop locally and discover the unique charm of the historic town.
“We’re thrilled to introduce this digital pass as a key component of our holiday marketing campaigns,” said Ed Harris, Chief Executive Officer of Visit Williamsburg. “It’s a new and fantastic way to support our local businesses while providing an enjoyable and interactive experience for our community.”
