WILLIAMSBURG — The Fourth Annual Williamsburg Beer Festival to support the Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fund will take place on Friday, Nov. 1 from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Howard Hanna parking lot in New Town.
Eleven breweries are on tap, along with 11 local food establishments, a DJ, raffle prizes, a silent auction and a vendor village for the event that benefits the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD) and its Mental Health Care for Kids Initiative.
“Guests will not only be able to enjoy beer samples from fabulous local breweries, food samplings from our incredible restaurant sponsors, music, raffles, and fun for all ages, but they will be instrumental in personally contributing to the improvement of our larger community and the betterment of our children’s future,” stated Andrea Sarina, one of the event coordinators.
The Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fund helps assure that children never be denied medical care, according to the organization.
This is the 36th year that Howard Hanna Real Estate Services has raised funds for its nonprofit charitable organization, raising more than $21 million across the company.
Locally, the Williamsburg office hosts several fundraising events, including the Williamsburg Beer Fest, which has raised over $69,000 in three years. That money directly supports the Norfolk-based children’s hospital and its local programs.

The fundraiser is 100% volunteer-run and donation-based.
“We are inviting people to have a really good time, eating a bunch of different foods and trying beers and getting together as a community for a really good cause,” said Wendy Robinson, silent auction coordinator. “It means a lot and will actually make a difference — that’s why we do this.”
Visit the Williamsburg Beer Fest webpage for a list of participating restaurants and breweries.
Advance tickets, which include food and brews, are on sale for $40. Non-drinker tickets are available for $20. Ticket prices rise at the door on the day of the event.
