WILLIAMSBURG— Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) announced it will be providing free fares for its fixed route and paratransit services for the general election on Nov. 5.
“It is WATA’s practice to provide rides for free on Election Day to assist people in getting to their polling locations,” says WATA Executive Director Matthew Scalia. “We don’t want transportation to be a hindrance to exercising their American right.”
WATA has shared a list of bus stops that are closest to polling locations within its service area in Williamsburg:

- Williamsburg Community Building, 401 North Boundary St. — Get off at the Williamsburg Transportation Center
- Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 500 Jamestown Road — Get off at Stop 1087 — Jamestown Road at Cary St. located on Route 6 and 8

- Waller Mill Elementary School, 314 Waller Mill Road — Get off at Stop 1247 — Mooretown Road at Kingsgate Shops on Route 7
