Ferris’ Day Off: Column 15

HISTORIC TRIANGLE — Part beagle, part foxhound and all attitude, Ferris Bueller (no, not THAT Bueller but, definitely named after the ’80s icon) is a one-year-old pup who loves to head out on adventures and explore new places and meet people.

Over on the Edge District, Column 15 is an amazing locally-owned roastery and café. The perfect place to for a human to get a caffeinated boost of energy before a long walk or day of play with their favorite pooch. They also sell pastries and yummy sandwiches!
Ferris was super excited to find out pups are welcome to sit a spell outside on the covered patio at Column 15 and they even have pup cups!
A huge variety of specialty coffees and non-caffeinated drinks appeal along with free Wi-Fi and a comfy, cool place to hang out, making this café a perfect spot for meeting friends, catching up on work or completing some homework.
When we stopped by, there were several dogs hanging out on the patio and we met Melissa, who graciously offered to sit with Ferris while mom ordered her beverage. A clean water bowl was just by the front door, perfect for these scorching hot days.
“Coffee is a ritual for many and it’s fun to see our regulars having that part of their day while enjoying time with their pets,” said Column 15’s co-owners James Kroll and Brittany Wyatt. “We love that pups and other pets have become a regular part of our daily routine at the shop, and we plan to expand our pet-friendly outdoor seating as we grow.”
Column 15 is a great place to run to in the morning, noon or evening for a cold or hot drink all year long, with or without your furry and feathered friends!

Happen to spot Ferris out on an adventure? Come say hello! If you have a dog-friendly suggestion you would like Ferris to consider covering or visiting, please email his mom. Hounds are not very good at responding.
