UPDATE: Tartans and Tie Dye Celebration Canceled Due to Weather Threat

UPDATE — Saturday’s Tartan and Tie Dye Celebration event has been canceled due to the threat of rain and severe weather.

YORKTOWN — The Watermen’s Museum will host the 8th Annual Tartan and Tie Dye Celebration fundraiser to benefit Relay for Life on Saturday, April 22 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to put on their fanciest tartans and tie dye and join Team Shenanigans and Watermen’s Museum in a celebratory mosaic of music to raise awareness and funds for The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.

The event will feature regional Celtic, Folk, and Rock bands including Clan MacCool, Winsome, 12 Shots, DeadRise and Rider, Poisoned Dwarf, and Tin Can Fish Band, with the Grateful Dawgz closing out the day’s performances. The full schedule can be found on the Facebook event page.

Vendors, crafts, family activities, food, beverages, and St. George’s Brewery will all be available.

A suggested donation of $10 per person will be taken at the gate with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating.
