The Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce’s new year started with a Pre-General Assembly Session Forum featuring the elected officials of the Greater Williamsburg area. The event was presented by Principle Advantage Government Relations Group and saw our elected officials answering questions submitted by our members. During the General Assembly sessions the GWCC will have weekly updates available online at https://www.businesswilliamsburg.com/advocacy and in its newsletter.
The GWCC’s educational program, Pathways2Careers saw students take a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge. The students were given a guided tour throughout the lodge’s facilities to learn what it takes to make Great Wolf Lodge the ultimate family getaway. Students also competed in a competitive bed making race after being shown the level of detail that goes into preparing rooms for guests.
Pathways2Careers is free to all public, private, and homeschool students grade 9-12 in the Williamsburg, James City County, and York County area. Learn more at businesswilliamsburg.com/pathways-2-careers.
The Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce continued its Commonwealth Conversations series on Jan. 10th with guest speaker BK Fulton, CEO and Chairman of Soulidifly Productions. Fulton is a producer of nearly 20 films, author of 16 books and producer of two number-one Broadway shows. His most recent projects include the 2023 movie, The Kill Room starring Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson and the Broadway revival of The Wiz.
“I work while you sleep, so I can live how you dream,” said Fulton.

Ribbon cuttings are unique networking events. Unlike other events, you’re more likely to meet the owners, decision makers, and other key people you usually wouldn’t have access to! Check out the chamber calendar for upcoming events to attend.
Thank you for helping us celebrate these organizations (click for event photos on Facebook):
