The new 305-room Marriott Oceanfront Hotel will employ more than 365 associates and will feature more than 25,000 square feet of function space, according to a news release from Gold Key | PHR.
The hotel will also feature rooftop dining with panoramic views, and multiple bars throughout. Additional amenities include gardens, fitness areas, and adjacent indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

“It has been a thrill to see the revitalization of Virginia Beach come to fruition, starting with the hard work and passion that went into the restoration of The Cavalier and continuing on with the Cavalier Beach Club, and now with the addition of an exceptional luxury property, the Marriott Cavalier Oceanfront Hotel,” said Bruce Thompson, Gold Key | PHR CEO.
The Marriott Cavalier Oceanfront Hotel is the second phase in a three-phase, $350 million master plan of the area around 42nd Street, which included the renovation of the historic Cavalier Hotel, the Cavalier Beach Club, the new Marriott Cavalier.
The three phases will create an all-in-one resort experience for locals and visitors, offering a collection of more than 500 guest rooms, seven bars, six restaurants, five swimming pools, 20 meeting spaces, and 35 luxury condominiums.
