WILLIAMSBURG — The local community will soon welcome a restaurant that bills itself as having “the last true chicken sandwich.”
On Thursday, March 24, it was announced that S2K Hospitality (S2K) has signed a franchise agreement with the Dallas-based chicken sandwich chain, Super Chix Chicken & Custard, and will open 10 restaurants in Virginia, with the first location set to open in Midtown Row.
“We are excited to welcome Super Chix to the City of Williamsburg, their first location in Virginia. This restaurant will be a great addition to the mix of offerings at Midtown and the dynamic revitalization of this part of our City,” said City of Williamsburg Economic Development Authority Chair Rick Overy. “It is also wonderful that this Super Chix is locally owned by a company that has other restaurants in our market.”
Super Chix is “counter-casual” dining experience noted for its never-frozen crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches served on potato rolls and its chicken tenders. The restaurant chain also boasts other offerings such as in-store churned and hand-dipped frozen custard, a variety of salads, and hand-cut fries. Super Chix is noted for not using monosodium glutamate (MSG), preservatives, artificial flavors or dyes. Also, all items are cooked or prepared to order.

S2K projects an opening date for its Midtown Row location to be sometime in the fourth quarter of 2022.
The hospitality company, which is based on the southside of Hampton Roads, was founded in 2021 by Desai and Bijal Patel with the mission of making the community a better place through people and experiences. In addition to the Super Chix franchise, S2K franchises with other brands including Which Wich Superior Sandwiches and Your Pie Pizza.
