A rash of larcenies from unlocked cars in Norge has police asking for the public’s help to catch the alleged thieves.
James City County Police received more than 20 reports of larcenies from unlocked vehicles Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, James City County Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Williams said.
The incidents occurred in the Villages of Westminster, Candle Station, Liberty Crossing and Station at Norge, Williams said.
Victims reported keys, jewelry, loose change and a computer were taken from their vehicles, according to Williams.
Police believe the incidents occurred overnight between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.
“Residents are encouraged to always lock their vehicle doors,” Williams added.
