NORFOLK – The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for cities across the Southside, including Virginia Beach and Norfolk.
Minor flooding is predicted to cover roadways, as up to two inches of rainfall is expected in Saturday morning’s thunderstorms.
The flood advisory is in effect until 11:30 a.m., and also includes the cities of Newport News, Smithfield, Suffolk, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake and Isle of Wight County.
