RICHMOND — Jamestown faced the hottest shooting team, Loudon Valley (30-1), in the state 4A finals at the Siegel Center in Richmond Friday night.
The Vikings overwhelmed the Eagles jumping out to a 24-8 lead after the first quarter, and never looked back.
Loudoun Valley controlled the game with Jordan Miller (Junior) scoring a game high 26 points and 6 rebounds. Nick Ball (Senior) scored 19 points and Dominic Peterson (Junior) hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points.
Jamestown was lead by Mason Wang (Senior) with 13 points, while Ryan Jones scored 9 points on three 3-pointers.
Jamestown (27-3) finished their season having gone further than any other team in their school’s history.
It was Loudon Valley’s first boys’ basketball state championship.
