The Williamsburg Regional Library has announced this year’s lineup for the Dewey Decibel concert series, which kicks off Friday with a performance from the Wild Honey Band, a group with an eclectic sound, inspired by a mix of country, pop and bluegrass.
According to a WRL news release, the spring season will bring performances from the Higher Ground Big Band, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s French Horn Duo, the Virginia Opera, the Christopher Newport University Wind Ensemble, Charm City Junction, the Ford’s Colony Dance Band, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s Woodwind Quintet, Brother Sun, and Joan and Joni.
“The upcoming concert season will feature both familiar and new music,” Program Services Director Rob Haas said in the release. “There’s something for all to come out and enjoy.”
The series will also bring two ‘family friendly’ shows to the library: a performance by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s French Horn Duo on Feb. 25 and a Virginia Opera performance of the Three Little Pigs on March 11.
The concert schedule will feature some free performances as well as some paid concerts, which will cost between $10-$20 each ticket, according to the release.
