Norfolk police tweeted on Wednesday afternoon that officers are investigating a shooting. The tweet said the shooting occurred in the 2700 block of Westminster Avenue.
Police were notified of the gunshots at about 1:20 p.m. When officers arrived they found a 26-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds in a car. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
